About Isabel
I help clients make sense of what they need, turn ideas into considered design and create work that has a clear purpose behind it. From developing a brand identity to supporting a busy creative team, I combine strategic thinking with hands on design to make the whole process feel straightforward.
I have over six years of experience across branding and graphic design, working on projects spanning visual identities, print, digital design, websites, presentations and marketing materials.
Alongside my freelance work, I’m also the founder of Studio Sulis, a specialist branding studio working with established architecture, interiors and garden design practices. That experience has given me a particular understanding of how design led businesses communicate their expertise, present their work and build a strong visual presence.

I start with the bigger pictureBefore jumping into design, I want to understand what you're trying to achieve, who you're speaking to and what isn't working currently. That context helps make the design more purposeful.
I care about the detailsThe small things matter. Whether it's typography, layout, imagery or how a brand is applied across different touchpoints, I take care to make sure the final result feels cohesive and considered.
I keep things collaborativeGood projects come from good communication. I work closely with clients and teams, keeping feedback clear, sharing ideas and making sure everyone knows what's happening throughout the project.
I adapt to the projectNo two clients need exactly the same thing. I can work independently on a defined project, become an extension of an existing creative team or provide ongoing design support through a retainer.
Experience
My design career began with freelance work alongside my studies in Graphic Design, followed by experience working with established brands and creative teams.
I graduated with a First Class BA (Hons) in Graphic Design from Arts University Plymouth and have since built more than six years of professional experience across branding and graphic design.
I've worked across a range of sectors and project types, from brand identities and marketing materials to digital design and websites. This means I can look at a project from both a strategic and practical perspective, understanding not just how something should look, but how it needs to work.
Based in Bath, working across the UK
I'm based in Bath and work with clients across the UK, with most projects delivered remotely.
I work with businesses and creative teams in Bath, Bristol, Somerset and further afield, using a straightforward remote process that makes collaboration easy wherever you're based.
Outside of design
When I'm not working, you'll usually find me doing Pilates, watching golf, cricket or rugby, planning my next trip to the coast, or spending time with my dogs.
I'm a big believer that good ideas don't only happen while you're sitting at your desk. Time away from work, new experiences and plenty of curiosity all have a way of finding their way back into what I do.
